A familiar tragedy told through contemporary music and a futuristic world.
HAMLET.EXE combines the energy of a concert with theatrical storytelling. Most songs are performed as rap. Operatic voices, orchestra and choir add musical layers, while acting, choreography and cinematic images carry the action.
The audience follows Hamlet and the court of Elsynor. Loss, love and revenge unfold in a reality where consciousness can be moved to the cloud — yet no one can prove whether the record is still the person.
Rap, operatic singing, orchestra and choir create the production’s shared musical language.
Characters, relationships and conflict. Acting and dance tell the story alongside music.
Large-scale projections expand the futuristic reality of Elsynor.
Hamlet returns from war. His father is dead. Claudius has taken the throne. Then a ghost appears.
The story is set in the Levant. Beirut, renamed Elsynor, becomes the first synchronisation point for KronOS: a system intended to organise time and society. Its promise of stability turns into violence against those who refuse to conform to one rhythm.
The encounter brings Hamlet no certainty. Is this real consciousness, a copy or an error? While searching for a murderer, he begins to question his own existence. Shakespeare’s “to be, or not to be” takes on a disturbing, literal dimension.
Biological humans with natural bodies: they age and can die.
Consciousness transferred to the cloud and placed in new bodies. A continuation of life, or a copy?
Artificial intelligences that act and communicate without human continuity of experience.

Mira belongs to none of these categories. She cannot be synchronised. Her presence opens cracks between existence, memory and simulation — boundaries KronOS cannot fully control.
